Psalm 19:1-2

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.  Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  This is a site focused on astronomical imaging.  I chose to begin this page with the opening verses of Psalm 19, one of my favorite Psalms.  These verses describe the underlining motivation behind my long time passion for astronomy, and my strong desire to become proficient in the technically challenging art of astrophotography.  I put the site together as a place to display my on-going attempts to capture the grandeur of the night sky, and to share the results with others.

For those new to astronomy, there is much to see and learn about the objects that fill the sky after the sun sets.  Some of these objects are truly amazing, and show the incredible beauty of the heavens.  These objects are extremely distance and very dim.  They are objects that are usually shrouded by the veil of darkness, sights that are only visible in the dark......DarkSights.

For those folks with more background in this wonderful hobby, you likely already have the bug, with daytime activities suffering from the impact of those sleepless nights during a new moon, and finances challenged by the never-ending search for that perfect piece of equipment.  There is always something else to learn in this hobby, so I really do covet your comments and suggestions concerning the website, any of the images, or my equipment.   I thank you in advance for your comments!  (click here for my e-mail address )

So once again, welcome!  I hope you feel at home as you look around.  Since I opened this page with the first couple of verses of Psalm 19, it's only fitting that this page end with the closing verse.  This verse describes my life's other desire, and one of my most difficult challenges.  It is a challenge that is accepted not out of fear, or with the expectation of gain, but purely in response to the love He first showed me!  If that statement doesn't make sense to you........e-mail me and I'd love to try to explain.

Psalm 19:14

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.
